Just now — two white train conductors one black teen had a confrontation. This is a story about police, attitude, jail, white frustration, black frustration, intervention and lenses. Sad end of the day for me, but this incident will give you something to think about.
A video about what happened is here.
But in summary:
A train conductor (white) came through the train asking for train tickets.
The conductor asked a black teen for his ticket and the teen threw the ticket on the floor.
The conductor asked him to pick it up. The teen refused.
The conductor called the cops and shut down the train, at the train station.
As the conductor and teen were waiting for the cops, I spoke to the teen about attitude and respect.
The deeper part of this story is about race, stereotypes, race wars and more.
I believe me speaking to the teen prevented an arrest (for good or for bad) and helped diffuse a sad situation.
A video about what happened is here and goes deeper into how some blacks hatred of whites and whites hatred of blacks grows and divides our country.
